By the end, you’ll know what each Activity filter shows, how to combine them, and what takes an asset out of the list.

Before you start

  • A YetOnePro workspace where teammates or clients comment on assets.
  • Assets open in the Table view, so you can see each asset’s comment count.

WRITTEN GUIDE

Find the assets that need you, without opening each one.

Alex, the producer, has four new Northstar assets. Jordan, the media producer, uploaded them and left comments on three; two of those comments mention Alex. Alex has opened two of the assets and hasn’t looked at the other two yet.

You’ll use the three Activity filters to see what’s new, what’s addressed to you, and what you haven’t seen, then combine them. Sign in to YetOnePro and open your workspace to follow along with any assets that have comments.

  1. 01

    Find the Activity filters

Open Assets in the left sidebar and switch to the Table view. The Activity column shows each asset’s comments, for example “1 comment (1 new)”.

Click More filters. The Activity section has three filters: Unread, Mentioned and Not opened yet.

Choose the view first. Switching to another view clears the Activity filters.
  2. 02

    Show unread comments

Turn on Unread. The list keeps the assets that have at least one comment or reply you haven’t opened yet. Here, that’s the three assets Jordan commented on.

Your own comments never count as unread.

  3. 03

    Add Mentioned

Turn on Mentioned as well. Now only assets with an unread comment that mentions you are left: here, the shelf mockup and the social square.

Both filters apply to the same comment. An unread comment from one person and an old mention from someone else on the same asset don’t add up to a match.

  4. 04

    Read a thread

Click the shelf mockup, select the Comments tab, and click Jordan’s thread to read it. Opening a thread marks the whole thread as read, replies included.

Go back to the list. The shelf mockup is gone: nothing unread there mentions you anymore.

  5. 05

    Use Mentioned on its own

Turn off Unread. Mentioned on its own keeps every asset where you were mentioned, even the ones you’ve read, so the shelf mockup is back.

Use Mentioned alone to find everything addressed to you. Pair it with Unread to see only what’s new.

  6. 06

    Find assets you haven’t opened

Turn off Mentioned and turn on Not opened yet. The list keeps the assets you’ve never opened: here, the social square and the wide banner.

An asset leaves this list once you open it. Uploading an asset doesn’t count as opening it.

  7. 07

    Combine the filters

Keep Not opened yet on and add Unread: you get new assets that already have comments waiting.

Add Mentioned as well, and you get assets you haven’t opened where someone is already waiting for you. Here, both combinations leave only the social square.

  8. 08

    Reply and resolve

Open the social square, select Comments, and click Jordan’s thread. Write your reply, for example “The logo looks good”, and click Save. Then open the thread’s ⋯ menu and choose Resolve.

Resolve and Unread are separate. Unread is about what you’ve seen. Resolve is about what’s finished: it closes the request but doesn’t change what the Activity filters show.

Check the result

  • Unread lists the assets with comments you haven’t opened.
  • After you open a thread, its asset leaves Unread but stays in Mentioned.
  • Not opened yet lists only assets you’ve never opened.

If it didn’t work

I looked at an asset, but it’s still in Unread.

Unread clears when you open the comment thread, not the asset. Open Comments and click the thread. That marks the whole thread as read, replies included.

Mentioned still shows an asset I’ve already read.

That’s expected. Mentioned on its own keeps every asset where you were mentioned. Turn on Unread as well to see only mentions you haven’t read.

My filters were cleared when I switched view.

Switching between views clears the Activity filters. Choose the view first, then turn the filters on.

My own comment doesn’t show up in Unread.

Your own comments never count as unread. Deleted comments don’t count in Unread or Mentioned either.
