Add a web-ready copy
next to the original photo.
The original photo is a heavy TIFF, and a separate web JPEG becomes another asset that drifts away from it.
By the end, the web JPEG sits in the same asset as an additional format of the version, with no new asset and no new version.
Before you start
- An image asset, such as a photo uploaded as a TIFF.
- The web-ready file you want to keep with it, such as a JPEG export.

Here's how to keep a web-ready copy of a photo next to its original, without a new asset or a new version.
This is the Lumen Bay coffee bags photo, uploaded as a TIFF. In Files and versions, it's the Original, with one version.
Under V1 are its files: the source file, the TIFF itself, and display images that YetOnePro makes on its own, marked System.
To add a web copy, click Add file, and choose Additional format: an additional file for this exact version.
The destination is Original, V1. Choose the web JPEG. Comments stay with this version, and no new version is created.
Click Add format. The JPEG now sits under V1, next to the source file. Still one asset, and still one version.
Its menu lets you download it, or move it to the trash if you added the wrong file.
In short: a web-ready copy is an additional format of one version. Each version keeps its own files, so a V2 needs its own web copy.

Keep the web JPEG with the original, not as another asset.
The Lumen Bay coffee bags photo was uploaded as a TIFF. The web team needs a JPEG of it. Instead of uploading a new asset or a new version, the JPEG goes into the same version as an additional format.
Open the image asset in your workspace to follow along. For cuts such as crops or languages, see Keep every cut of a campaign video in one asset instead.
- 01
Open Files & versions
Open the asset, and go to Files & versions. The photo is the Original, which reads “Source variant · 1 version”.
- 02
See the version’s files
Under V1 are its files: the Source file, which is the TIFF you uploaded, and the Display image files. Rows marked System are created and managed by YetOnePro.
- 03
Choose Additional format
Choose Add file. In Add a file, choose Additional format: an additional file for this exact version.
- 04
Pick the destination and the file
Under Destination, pick the version, for example Original / V1, and choose the web JPEG. The dialog confirms: “Adds a format to Original / V1. Comments stay with this version. No new version is created.”
- 05
Add format
Choose Add format. The JPEG is listed under V1, after the display images, as “lumen-bay-coffee-bags-web.jpg · JPG”. It’s still one asset, and still one version.
- 06
Use the file’s menu
Open the file’s menu to Download it.
In short: a web-ready copy is an additional format of one version. Each version keeps its own files, so when you upload a V2, add a web copy to V2 as well. For how versions work, see Keep file revisions together with version history.
Check the result
- In Add a file, you chose Additional format and the right Destination, such as Original / V1.
- The new file is listed under that version, for example “lumen-bay-coffee-bags-web.jpg · JPG”.
- The variant still reads “Source variant · 1 version”.
If it didn’t work
I uploaded a V2. Where is its web copy?
An additional format belongs to one version. Each version keeps its own files, so add a web copy to V2 as well.
Some files are marked System.
Rows marked System are created and managed by YetOnePro.
Did adding the format create a new version?
No. An additional format is added to the version you choose. Comments stay with that version, and no new version is created.
