Show exactly where
an image needs changing.
Tell a designer which part of an image to change, instead of describing it in words.
By the end, you’ll have comments that each keep an outlined area of the image, which anyone can open from the Comments list to see exactly where to look.
Before you start
- A YetOnePro workspace with an image uploaded to Assets.
- A teammate who will make the change, or a second browser profile to check their view.

Show exactly where an image needs changing.
Feedback like "make the logo bigger" still leaves the designer guessing: which logo, and by how much? Mark the spot on the image instead.
Click Draw a comment in the toolbar under the image. Choose a rectangle for a clear area, and a color that stands out on this image.
Drag over the area. A comment box opens right next to it.
Choose who it's for: Internal stays with your team. Say what should change and why, then save.
For an irregular area, switch to freehand. Pick a color that stands out against the stone, confirm, and draw around the spot.
Keep it Internal, describe the fix, and save. Each comment gets its own area.
Every comment keeps its area. Click one in the list, and the image shows exactly where to look.
So whoever makes the change sees the spot, not just the words.

Mark the spot on the image instead of describing it.
Feedback like “make the logo bigger” leaves the designer guessing: which logo, and by how much? On the Northstar bottle image, you want the logo larger and a chip in the stone retouched.
You’ll outline each area right on the image and attach a note to it. Every comment keeps its area, so whoever makes the change sees the spot, not just the words. Sign in to YetOnePro and open your workspace to follow along with any image in Assets.
- 01
Open the image
Open Assets in the left sidebar and click the image to open it.
- 02
Pick the drawing tool
In the toolbar under the image, click Draw a comment. You don’t need to open the Comments tab first.
Choose the rectangle for a clear area, and a color that stands out on this image — red works on the pale logo. Confirm the tool with the check mark.
- 03
Drag over the area
Drag a rectangle around the logo. When you release the mouse, a Visual comment box opens next to the area, and your outline stays on the image.
- 04
Choose who it’s for, write the note and save
Choose Internal or Client. Internal stays with your team.
Say what should change and why, for example “Logo is lost at phone size: make it about 20% larger, same position.” Click Save.
Internal or Client? Internal comments stay with your team. If you later share the image for review, only Client comments appear on the review link. - 05
Outline an irregular area with freehand
For a shape a rectangle can’t follow, like the chip in the stone, click Draw a comment again and switch to the freehand tool. Pick a color that stands out against the stone — yellow here — confirm, and draw around the spot.
Keep it Internal, describe the fix — “Retouch this chip in the stone: it reads as damage” — and click Save. Each comment gets its own area.
- 06
Find the area again from the list
Open the Comments tab in the right sidebar. Click any comment in the list: the image dims around its area and highlights it, with the author’s avatar next to it.
The same works for your designer, who sees exactly where to look.
Check the result
- Each comment shows its note in the Comments list.
- Clicking a comment in the list highlights its area on the image, with the author’s avatar.
- Comments for your team are set to Internal.
If it didn’t work
I can’t find Draw a comment.
Draw a comment is in the toolbar under the image. You don’t need to open the Comments tab first. If you don’t see it, ask a workspace admin to check that your role can post comments.
My outline is in the wrong place.
Before you save, click Cancel in the comment box and draw the area again. A saved comment keeps the area it was drawn with.
The client can see my note to the designer.
Open the comment and check its visibility. Notes for your team must be set to Internal; only Client comments appear on a review link.
