Approve work, or send it back
with changes.
Your team sent work for your review, and you want to approve what’s ready and send back what needs another pass, with a clear reason.
By the end, you’ll have answered every asset, checked the summary, and submitted your review to your team.
Before you start
- You’re signed in to the portal from your team’s review email.
- Your team has sent you a review with assets waiting for your answer.

Approve work, or send it back with changes.
This is the portal from your review email, and you're signed in. Each asset needs its own answer.
A comment isn't an answer. Choose Approve, or Changes if something needs work.
This one is ready, so click Approve.
The label needs another pass. Click Changes and say what should change. A reason is required.
Then click Save changes requested.
Nothing is final yet. You can still change your answers.
When every asset has an answer, click Finish review and check the summary.
Once you submit, comments and answers are locked until the next round.
Click Submit review. Your review is sent, and your team is notified.
The approved asset moves to Delivered files, and you can't take it back. The label goes back to your team to revise.
Need a change after that? Ask the studio to reopen. When they send a new version, you can compare it with the one you saw.
In short: answer every asset, give a reason for changes, then Finish review and Submit review. Until you submit, nothing is final.

One answer per asset, then one submit.
This guide is for clients. Your team sent you work to review, and each asset needs its own answer: Approve, or Changes with a reason. In the video, Maya Chen at Harbor & Pine approves the key visual and sends the front label back with a change.
You’re already signed in to the portal from your team’s review email. If not, start with Review work your creative team sent you.

Your review in the portal
The review sits at the top of the portal, here Review 1, and the counter shows how many assets are still undecided. Each asset needs its own answer.
A comment isn’t an answer. To point at what should change, see Show your team exactly what needs to change. To answer, choose Approve, or Changes if something needs work.
- 02
Approve an asset
When an asset is ready, click Approve on its card. The card now reads Approved.
- 03
Request changes with a reason
When an asset needs another pass, click Changes and say what should change under Reason for requesting changes (required), for example “Use the darker green from our brand guide.”
Then click Save changes requested. The card now reads Changes requested.
- 04
Nothing is final yet
The portal says it: “You can still change decisions before finishing.” Until you submit, you can change any answer.
- 05
Finish review
When every asset has an answer, click Finish review. The summary, here “Finish Review 1?”, shows your answers, for example “1 approved · 1 change requested”, with your reasons.
After you submit, you can’t add comments or change answers until your team sends the next round. Check the summary first. - 06
Submit review
Click Submit review. Your review is sent, the portal shows the date it was sent, and your team is notified.
- 07
After you submit
Approved work moves to Delivered files, and you can’t take it back yourself. Assets with changes requested go back to your team to revise; the portal shows how many the studio is revising.
Need a change after that? Click Ask the studio to reopen. It lets your team know; it doesn’t reopen anything by itself. When your team sends a new version, you can compare it with the one you saw; see Send a revised version back for approval.
In short: answer every asset, give a reason for changes, then Finish review and Submit review. Until you submit, nothing is final.
Check the result
- Every asset has an answer: Approve, or Changes with a reason.
- You clicked Finish review and checked the summary.
- You clicked Submit review and saw that your review was sent.
If it didn’t work
Is a comment the same as an answer?
No. A comment says what should change; your answer is Approve or Changes on each asset.
Why can’t I save Changes?
A reason is required. Say what should change in Reason for requesting changes, then click Save changes requested.
I picked the wrong answer.
Until you submit, nothing is final: you can still change your answers. After Submit review, answers and comments are locked until your team sends the next round.
I approved something and now want a change.
You can’t take back approved work yourself. Click Ask the studio to reopen; it lets your team know, and they decide what happens next.
