WRITTEN GUIDE

Tell your teammate exactly which page and which detail to fix.

Your team is checking the Harbor & Pine winter catalog. On page three, the price on the Cedar candle card sits on the photo, while the other cards show it under the name. Your media producer needs to find that card and move the price.

You’ll find the page, leave an internal comment that names the page and the item, and mention the teammate who should fix it. Comments on a PDF belong to the whole file, not to a spot on a page, so the comment text does the pointing. Sign in to YetOnePro and open your workspace to follow along with any PDF in Assets.

  1. 01

    Open the PDF

Open Assets in the left sidebar and click the PDF to open it. It opens in the viewer, with the pages one under another.

  2. 02

    Find the page

Scroll through the pages. To jump straight to one, type its number in the page box at the bottom of the viewer and press Enter. The box shows the current page and the total, for example 3 / 4.

Find the detail you want changed. In this example, the Cedar candle price on page three sits on the photo.

  3. 03

Start the comment with the page and the item

Select the Comments tab in the right sidebar, then select Add a comment....

Comments belong to the whole asset, not to a spot on a page. Start with the page number and the item, so your teammate knows where to look, for example: “Page 3, Cedar candle: the $32 price sits on the photo.”

Choose Internal, because this note is for your team, not the client.

Internal or Client? Internal comments stay with your team. If you later share the file for review, only Client comments appear on the review link.
  4. 04

    Mention who should fix it

Type @ and pick the teammate from the list to notify them. Then say what to change, for example “please move it under the name, like the other cards,” and click Save.

The comment appears in the Issues list, marked Internal.

  5. 05

Your teammate opens it from Notifications

Your teammate sees the mention in Notifications, under Unread. Selecting the file name opens the PDF with the comment on top.

  6. 06

Go to the page the comment names

Because the comment names the page, your teammate clicks Cancel to close it, types the page number in the page box, presses Enter, and finds the price right away.

  7. 07

    Reply in the same thread

Your teammate clicks the comment in the list to open the thread, types a reply, for example “Got it. I’ll move the price under the name and upload a new version,” and clicks Save. The whole conversation about this fix stays with the asset.

Check the result

  • Your comment starts with the page number and the item.
  • It’s marked Internal and mentions the teammate who should fix it.
  • Your teammate’s reply is in the same thread.

If it didn’t work

Can I pin a comment to a page or an area of the PDF?

No. Comments on a PDF aren’t pinned to a page or a spot: they belong to the whole asset. Name the page and the item at the start of the comment text.

The page box doesn’t jump.

Type the page number, then press Enter.
