By the end, you’ll have shared an asset with a contact, a company and a copied link, and you’ll know what each preset lets a client do.

Before you start

  • A YetOnePro workspace with an asset ready to share.
  • A client contact in Contacts, or an email address to type.

WRITTEN GUIDE

Send an asset to a client in a few clicks.

Your client Maya needs to see the Northstar bottle and leave comments. She has no YetOnePro account, and you don’t want to ask her to create one.

You’ll share the asset with a contact, see what she sees, share another asset with a whole company, and copy a link to send yourself. Sign in to YetOnePro and open your workspace to follow along with any asset.

  1. 01

    Share with a contact

Open the asset, go to the Usage tab and click Share asset. Keep Specific people, click Choose contact and pick a person from your Contacts, here Maya Chen. You can also type any email address.

  2. 02

    Choose a preset

For review lets the client view and comment. It expires in 30 days and allows no downloads.

For handoff is for final assets: the client can view and download, but there are no comments.

Full access lets the client comment, download, and see versions, with no expiration.

  3. 03

    Customize, then share

Open Customize to fine-tune any preset: Allow downloads, Notify recipients and Expiration. Click Share. When Share created appears, click Done. Maya gets an invite email right away.

  4. 04

    See what the client sees

Maya opens the link from the email and confirms her email address with a one-time code. The code arrives in her inbox and expires in 15 minutes.

She enters it and the asset opens. No password, no sign-up.

  5. 05

    Client and Internal comments

Clients see only comments from the Client tab. Anything you write on the Internal tab stays inside your team. In the example, Jordan’s note is marked Internal, so Maya never sees it.

  6. 06

    Share with a whole company

For a second asset, click Add company and choose the client company, here Harbor & Pine Dairy. The WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS list shows its three contacts. Click Share, and every contact there gets an invite.

  7. 07

    Send the link yourself

Prefer to send it yourself? Pick a person, here Sam Patel, and open Customize. Turn Notify recipients off, click Share, then copy the link and send it any way you like. They’ll still confirm their email with a one-time code.

  8. 08

See who has access, and remove it

Open Sharing in the left sidebar, then the asset, to see who has access, what they can do, and when it expires. To take access back, choose the person, click Remove this access and confirm with Remove. The link stops working: when Maya refreshes, the page says This asset is unavailable.

For more on this page, see See who has access, and take it back.

Check the result

  • The invite email arrives and the link asks the client to confirm their email with a code.
  • The client opens the asset without a password or an account.
  • The client sees your Client comments, and never your Internal ones.
  • After you remove access, the client’s link shows “This asset is unavailable.”

If it didn’t work

Does my client need a YetOnePro account?

No. They open the link and confirm their email with a one-time code that expires in fifteen minutes.

Which preset should I choose?

For review to collect feedback, For handoff to deliver final assets, Full access for ongoing work.

Can I send the link myself instead of an email?

Yes. Open Customize, turn Notify recipients off, share, then copy the link and send it any way you like. The client still confirms their email with a code.

How do I take access back?

Open Sharing in the left sidebar, open the asset, choose the person and click Remove this access. The link stops working. The “See who has access” guide walks through it.
