Track revision rounds
against your agreed allowance.
You agreed with your client on a number of revision rounds, and you want to see how many are used, and record it when you agree on something different.
By the end, you’ll know where the round allowance lives, why a round is included or extra, and how to change the allowance or correct a round, with both changes logged in Activity.
Before you start
- A project with a client review where the client requested changes.
- Permission to edit the project to change the allowance, and the project review permission to correct a round.

Track revision rounds against your agreed allowance.
This is the Reviews tab of Harbor and Pine's summer range. The project includes one revision round, and Maya has already asked for changes twice.
Round allowance shows this project's agreement: one included round. Two are used, so none remain.
It's a record for your team. An extra round is a workflow label, not a payment.
Under Revision cycles, a round opens each time the client requests changes. Round one fit the allowance, so it's Included. Round two came after the limit, so it opened as Extra.
Say you agree on one more round with Harbor and Pine. Click Edit allowance.
The dialog shows what's included and already used. Set included rounds to two.
A reason is required. Type what was agreed, and click Save allowance.
The allowance now reads two included, two used. But round two still says Extra. Included or extra is decided when a round opens, and editing the limit later doesn't change it.
If round two should count as included, correct it by hand. Click Round two.
Under Round type, choose Included.
Changing how a round counts needs a reason too. Type it, and click Save round.
Round two now reads Included. Saving a round updates project history; it doesn't email your client.
Open the Activity tab, and choose Reviews.
Both changes are logged: the allowance going from one to two, and the round correction, each with who made it and why.
Good to know. With no limit set, included rounds reads Not set, and rounds are still counted. Rounds cover only work that isn't accepted yet. Your client can't send back accepted work; a teammate with the project review permission can. And nothing here is invoiced.
In short: set the allowance on the Reviews tab. Each change request opens a round, marked included or extra when it opens. When you agree on something different, change the limit or correct a round, with a reason.

Know where every round stands.
Harbor & Pine’s summer range includes one revision round, and Maya Chen has already asked for changes twice. Alex Morgan checks the rounds on the project’s Reviews tab, raises the allowance after agreeing on one more round with the client, and corrects the second round by hand.
Rounds are a record for your team: an extra round is a workflow label, not a payment, and nothing here is invoiced. Sign in to YetOnePro and open a project whose client has requested changes to follow along.
- 01
Open the Reviews tab
Open the project and click the Reviews tab. Your client reviews are listed on the left, here Review 2 and Review 1. Round accounting is in the right column.
- 02
Read the round allowance
Round allowance shows this project’s agreement. Here, Included rounds is 1, with “2 used · 0 remaining”. Each project has its own number.
The info icon next to the title explains it: extra rounds are a workflow classification, not payment processing.
- 03
Included and extra rounds
Under Revision cycles, a round opens each time your client requests changes. Each row shows the round, whether it’s included or extra, its due date, and whether it’s open or closed.
Round 1 fit the allowance, so it’s Included and now closed. Round 2 came after the limit, so it opened as Extra, and it’s still open.
- 04
Change the allowance
Say you agree on one more round with your client. Click Edit allowance. The Edit revision allowance dialog shows Included now, Already used and Remaining after the change.
Set Included rounds to 2. A reason is required: type what was agreed, here “One more round agreed with the client.”, and click Save allowance.
- 05
Existing rounds keep their label
The allowance now reads two included, two used. But Round 2 still says Extra. Included or extra is decided when a round opens, and editing the limit later doesn’t change it.
- 06
Correct a round by hand
If Round 2 should count as included, click it. In the Revision round 2 dialog, under Round type, choose Included.
Changing how a round counts needs a reason too: “A reason is required when changing round accounting.” Type it under Reason / scope, here “Second round agreed with the client.”, and click Save round. Round 2 now reads Included.
Saving a round updates project history. It doesn’t email your client; they’re notified when you open the next client review. - 07
Both changes in Activity
Open the Activity tab and choose Reviews. Both changes are logged: the allowance going from 1 to 2, and the round correction, each with who made it and why. Below them is the entry for when your client’s request opened Round 2 as Extra.
- 08
Good to know
- No limit set. With no limit set, Included rounds reads Not set, and rounds are still counted.
- Accepted work. Rounds cover only work that isn’t accepted yet. Your client can’t send back accepted work; a teammate with the project review permission can return it to work. See Mark a deliverable as done, and know who can undo it.
- Billing. Nothing here is invoiced.
For the review that comes after a change request, see Send a revised version back for approval.
In short: set the allowance on the Reviews tab. Each change request opens a round, marked included or extra when it opens. When you agree on something different, change the limit or correct a round, with a reason.
