Check a video against
your delivery requirements.
A broadcaster’s delivery sheet asks for an exact resolution, frame rate, codec and audio, and the numbers on the Info tab don’t describe the file you uploaded.
By the end, you read the original video’s own resolution, codec, frame rate, audio sample rate and duration on the EXIF tab, and pick the cut that matches the sheet.
Before you start
- A video asset in your workspace.
- The delivery sheet: for example 1920 × 1080, 25 fps, H.264, 48 kHz audio, 10 seconds.
Watch the walkthrough
Here's how to check a video against a client's delivery requirements.
The broadcaster's sheet asks for nineteen twenty by ten eighty, 25 frames per second, H.264, 48 kilohertz audio, and 10 seconds.
The bottle spot has two new cuts in the library. Start with the 4K master.
The Info tab lists Encoding results: H.264, up to nineteen twenty by ten eighty. These are the playback copies YetOnePro made for streaming, not the file itself.
For the file itself, go to the EXIF tab and open Video Stream. Resolution: thirty-eight forty by twenty-one sixty. Codec: HEVC. Frame Rate: 30 over 1, so 30 frames per second.
That's three differences from the sheet.
Now the TV cut. Video Stream says nineteen twenty by ten eighty, H.264, and a duration of 10 seconds.
Search for rate. Frame Rate: 25 over 1. Sample Rate: 48000, so 48 kilohertz. This is the cut to send.
YetOnePro shows these values from the file. It doesn't compare them with your sheet, and it doesn't convert the file.
To narrow the library, go to Assets. Under Type, pick Video, then Resolution: Full HD.
Full HD is a size range, not an exact size, and the filter checks nothing else. So confirm each result on the EXIF tab.
In short: Encoding results on the Info tab describe the playback copies. Video Stream on the EXIF tab describes your file.
Search across all videos and guides.
Check the file itself, not its playback copies.
YetOnePro makes playback copies of each video for streaming, and the Info tab describes those copies. To check the video you uploaded against a delivery sheet, read its own values on the EXIF tab.
Open a video asset in your workspace to follow along.
- 01
Start from the delivery sheet
The broadcaster’s sheet asks for 1920 × 1080, 25 frames per second, H.264, 48 kHz audio, and 10 seconds. The bottle spot has two new cuts in the library. Start with the 4K master.
- 02
Don’t go by Encoding results
The Info tab lists Encoding results: H.264, up to 1920x1080. These are the playback copies YetOnePro made for streaming, not the file itself.
- 03
Open Video Stream on the EXIF tab
Go to the EXIF tab and open Video Stream. For the master, Resolution is 3840x2160, Codec is hevc, and Frame Rate is 30/1, so 30 frames per second.
That’s three differences from the sheet.
- 04
Check the other cut
Now open the TV cut. Video Stream says 1920x1080, h264, and a Duration of 10 seconds.
- 05
Search for rate
Type “rate” into Search metadata.... Frame Rate is 25/1, and Sample Rate is 48000, so 48 kHz. This is the cut to send.
YetOnePro shows these values from the file. It doesn’t compare them with your sheet. Your original stays as you uploaded it, and the playback copies are separate files.
- 06
Narrow the library by resolution
Go to Assets. Under Type, pick Video, then Resolution: Full HD. The filter reads “Type: Video · Full HD”.
Full HD is a size range, not an exact size, and the filter checks nothing else. Confirm each result on the EXIF tab.
In short: Encoding results on the Info tab describe the playback copies. Video Stream on the EXIF tab describes your file.
Check the result
- You read the values in EXIF › Video Stream, not in Encoding results on the Info tab.
- Resolution, Codec, Frame Rate and Duration match the sheet.
- A search for “rate” shows the Frame Rate and Sample Rate you need.
If it didn’t work
Encoding results say H.264, 1920x1080, but the sheet check fails.
Encoding results describe the playback copies YetOnePro made for streaming, not your file. Check EXIF › Video Stream instead.
Every result under Resolution: Full HD should match, right?
No. Full HD is a size range, not an exact size, and the filter checks nothing else. Confirm each result on the EXIF tab.
Does YetOnePro check the video against my sheet, or convert it?
No. It shows the values from the file and doesn’t compare them with your sheet. Your original stays as you uploaded it; the playback copies are separate.
