Mark a deliverable as done.
And know who can undo it.
Close out finished work so everyone knows it’s done, who finished it and when, without anyone quietly reopening it.
By the end, you’ll have marked a deliverable delivered, seen it returned to work by a project reviewer, and found both events in Activity.
Before you start
- A deliverable with its file attached. See “Plan client deliverables, deadlines, and owners.”
- A role that can edit projects to mark it delivered: Owner, Project Manager and Media Producer can by default.
- To return work: a role with the project review permission. Owner and Project Manager have it by default.

Mark a deliverable as done, and know who can undo it.
When the work is finished, open the deliverable from the project. The launch spot is yours, and its file is already attached.
Ready to deliver means the file is in place. The deliverable file is what your client receives.
Click Mark delivered. The status is now Delivered, and the panel shows who completed the work, and when.
Back in the list, the row shows Delivered, and the due column now says when the work was completed.
From here, you can't take it back. Only a project reviewer can return accepted work.
A reviewer, like Alex, sees the same record. Return to work asks you to confirm, then reopens the deliverable.
It's back in work. No email goes out, and your client can't reopen accepted work. Only a project reviewer can.
Activity keeps the record: who completed the deliverable, and who returned it to work.
On your list, the launch spot is open again. You can mark it delivered when the work is done.
In short: click Mark delivered when the work is finished. The panel records who completed it, and when. Only a project reviewer can return it to work, and Activity keeps the history.

Done means done, and everyone knows who said so.
Jordan Reyes finished the 30-second launch spot for Harbor & Pine, and the file is already attached to the deliverable. Jordan marks it delivered. Later, Alex Morgan, a project reviewer, returns it to work.
You’ll mark a deliverable delivered, see who completed it and when, learn why you can’t take it back yourself, and see how a reviewer reopens it. A deliverable has one status: In production, then Delivered, and back to In production only if a reviewer returns it. Sign in to YetOnePro and open a project to follow along.
- 01
Open the deliverable
When the work is finished, open the project and its Deliverables tab. Find your deliverable, here “Launch spot, 30 s.” The preview shows that its file is already attached.
- 02
Check that it’s ready to deliver
Click the deliverable to open its panel. The status is In production, and the panel says Ready to deliver: the file is in place. The deliverable file is what your client receives.
- 03
Mark it delivered
Click Mark delivered. The status changes to Delivered, and the panel shows who completed the work, and when, for example “Work completed by Jordan Reyes · Oct 25.”
- 04
See it in the list
Press Escape to go back to the list. The row shows Delivered, and the Due column now says when the work was completed, for example “Completed Oct 25,” instead of the due date.
- 05
Know who can undo it
From here, you can’t take it back yourself. Point to the status in the row and you’ll see why: Only a project reviewer can return accepted work.
Who is a project reviewer. Anyone whose role has the project review permission. Owner and Project Manager have it by default. Media Producers can mark work delivered, but can’t return it. - 06
A reviewer returns it to work
A reviewer, like Alex, opens the same deliverable and sees the same record. They click Return to work and confirm with Return to work in the dialog.
The deliverable is back In production and Ready to deliver. No email goes out, and your client can’t reopen accepted work. Only a project reviewer can.
- 07
Find the record in Activity
Open the project’s Activity tab. It keeps the record: who completed the deliverable, and who returned it to work.
- 08
Deliver it again
On your list, the launch spot is open again. Reload the page if you don’t see the change yet. When the work is done, click Mark delivered again.
In short: click Mark delivered when the work is finished. The panel records who completed it, and when. Only a project reviewer can return it to work, and Activity keeps the history.
Check the result
- The deliverable shows Delivered, with who completed the work and the completion date.
- In the list, the due column says Completed and the date it was completed.
- Without the review permission, the status can’t be changed back.
- After Return to work, the deliverable is In production again and can be marked delivered.
- Activity shows who completed the deliverable and who returned it to work.
If it didn’t work
Mark delivered isn’t there.
The deliverable needs its file first. Attach the file being delivered and finish any steps the panel lists; when it says Ready to deliver, Mark delivered appears. In a project with a client portal, the panel offers to send the work for client review instead.
I marked it delivered by mistake. How do I undo it?
Ask a project reviewer, by default an Owner or Project Manager. They open the deliverable and click Return to work.
Does Return to work notify anyone?
No email goes out. The change is recorded in the project’s Activity.
Can my client reopen delivered work?
No. Only a project reviewer on your team can return accepted work to work.
