By the end, you’ll know where your workspace logo is set, have given a portal its own accent color, and seen where your client sees the logo and the color.

Before you start

  • A client portal. See “Give your client one portal for project files.”
  • A role that can edit workspace settings, for the logo, and update portals, for the color. The Owner role has both; an Owner can grant them to other roles.

WRITTEN GUIDE

Your logo for the workspace, your color for each portal.

Alex Morgan wants the portal Maya Chen at Harbor & Pine opens to look like Northstar Creative. Alex checks the workspace logo in Workspace settings, then gives the “Harbor & Pine launch” portal the Northstar brand color.

Branding has two parts. The logo belongs to the workspace, so every portal shows it. The accent color is set for each portal. The portal stays password-protected throughout. Sign in to YetOnePro to follow along.

  1. 01

Open the workspace menu, top left, and choose Workspace settings. On General, under Workspace identity, you’ll see the current logo. To replace it, click Change logo and choose a JPG or PNG of up to 5 MB.

In the video, Northstar’s logo is already there, so it stays as it is.

  2. 02

    Open the portal in Sharing

The color is set for each portal. In the sidebar, open Sharing and click the portal’s row, here Harbor & Pine launch. The panel shows it’s Password protected.

  3. 03

    Open Manage portal

Click Manage portal. In Edit Portal, the preview shows what visitors get: your workspace logo and a welcome from your workspace.

Hide the logo on this portal. Choose Use the default icon instead, and the portal shows the default icon rather than your logo.
  4. 04

    Set the accent color

Under Accent color, type a hex code in Hex value, here 1E5F74, or pick one from the swatch. Default brings back the standard orange.

  5. 05

    Save the changes

Password says Protected: the portal keeps its password, and you don’t need to type it again. Click Save Changes.

  6. 06

What your client sees at the password screen

When Maya opens her portal link, the Protected Portal screen already uses the new color, with your workspace name. Your logo isn’t shown there yet.

Maya enters the portal password and clicks Access Portal. The portal is limited to its approved contacts, so she confirms her email address too.

  7. 07

What your client sees inside the portal

The portal opens with Northstar’s logo, Welcome to Northstar Creative, and the accent color on the welcome line and the menu.

In short: one logo for the workspace, in Workspace settings, and an accent color for each portal, in Manage portal. Brief forms have an accent color of their own.

Check the result

  • Workspace settings › General › Workspace identity shows your logo.
  • The portal’s Accent color is your brand color, and the changes are saved.
  • The password screen uses the accent color.
  • Inside the portal, your client sees your logo and the accent color.

If it didn’t work

Can each portal have its own logo?

No. The logo belongs to the workspace and every portal uses it. The accent color is set for each portal.

My logo doesn’t show on the password screen.

That’s expected. The password screen uses the accent color and your workspace name. The logo appears once your client is inside the portal.

How do I hide the logo on one portal?

In Manage portal, choose Use the default icon instead. The portal then shows the default icon instead of your logo.

How do I go back to the standard color?

Next to Accent color, click Default. It brings back the standard orange.

Do brief forms use the portal’s color?

No. Brief forms have an Accent color setting of their own.
