Check an audio file against
the requested specs.
A radio station’s sheet asks for a format, sample rate, bit depth, channel count and length, and the Info tab describes YetOnePro’s playback copy instead of your file.
By the end, you read the audio file’s own codec, bitrate, sample rate, bit depth, channels and duration on the EXIF tab, and pick the export that matches the sheet.
Before you start
- An audio asset in your workspace.
- The spec sheet: for example WAV, 48 kHz, 24-bit, 2 channels, 15 seconds.

Here's how to check an audio file against the specs a client asked for.
The radio station's sheet asks for a WAV file: 48 kilohertz, 24-bit, 2 channels, and 15 seconds long.
The sound designer uploaded two exports of the radio spot. Start with the MP3.
The Info tab shows the file type: MP3. Below, Encoding results list AAC. That's the playback copy YetOnePro made for streaming, not the file itself.
For the file itself, go to the EXIF tab and open Audio Stream. Codec: MP3. Bitrate: 192000, so 192 kilobits per second. Sample Rate: 44100, so 44.1 kilohertz. Bit Depth: not available.
The format and the sample rate don't match the sheet.
Now the WAV. Audio Stream says PCM, 24-bit, which is uncompressed audio, 2 channels, and a duration of 15 seconds.
Search for sample. Bits Per Sample: 24. Sample Rate: 48000, so 48 kilohertz. This is the export to send.
YetOnePro shows these values from the file. It doesn't compare them with your sheet, convert the file, or measure loudness.
To list only audio in the library, go to Assets. Under Type, pick Audio, then Duration: under 5 minutes.
Duration is a length range, and the filter checks nothing else. So confirm the sample rate and bit depth on the EXIF tab.
In short: Encoding results on the Info tab describe the playback copy. Audio Stream on the EXIF tab describes your file.
Search across all videos and guides.
Check the file itself, not its playback copy.
YetOnePro makes a playback copy of each audio file for streaming, and the Info tab describes that copy. To check the file you uploaded against a spec sheet, read its own values on the EXIF tab.
Open an audio asset in your workspace to follow along.
- 01
Start from the spec sheet
The radio station’s sheet asks for a WAV file: 48 kHz, 24-bit, 2 channels, and 15 seconds long. The sound designer uploaded two exports of the radio spot. Start with the MP3.
- 02
Don’t go by Encoding results
The Info tab shows the file type: MP3. Below, Encoding results list AAC. That’s the playback copy YetOnePro made for streaming, not the file itself.
- 03
Open Audio Stream on the EXIF tab
Go to the EXIF tab and open Audio Stream. For the MP3, Codec is mp3, Bitrate is 192000 (192 kilobits per second), Sample Rate is 44100 (44.1 kHz), and Bit Depth is N/A.
The format and the sample rate don’t match the sheet.
- 04
Check the other export
Now open the WAV. Audio Stream says pcm_s24le, which is uncompressed 24-bit audio, Channels 2, and a Duration of 15 seconds.
- 05
Search for sample
Type “sample” into Search metadata.... Bits Per Sample is 24, and Sample Rate is 48000, so 48 kHz. This is the export to send.
YetOnePro shows these values from the file. It doesn’t compare them with your sheet, convert the file, or measure loudness.
- 06
List only audio in the library
Go to Assets. Under Type, pick Audio, then Duration: <5m. The filter reads “Type: Audio · <5m”.
Duration is a length range, and the filter checks nothing else. Confirm the sample rate and bit depth on the EXIF tab.
In short: Encoding results on the Info tab describe the playback copy. Audio Stream on the EXIF tab describes your file.
Check the result
- You read the values in EXIF › Audio Stream, not in Encoding results on the Info tab.
- Codec, Sample Rate, Bit Depth, Channels and Duration match the sheet.
- A search for “sample” shows the Bits Per Sample and Sample Rate you need.
If it didn’t work
Encoding results say AAC, but I uploaded a WAV.
Encoding results describe the playback copy YetOnePro made for streaming, not your file. Check EXIF › Audio Stream instead.
Bit Depth says N/A.
The value isn’t available for that file. In the demo, the MP3 shows N/A, while the WAV shows 24.
Does the Duration filter check the other specs?
No. Duration is a length range, and the filter checks nothing else. Confirm the sample rate and bit depth on the EXIF tab.
Does YetOnePro check the file against my sheet, or convert it?
No. It shows the values from the file. It doesn’t compare them with your sheet, convert the file, or measure loudness.
