See how often your client portal was opened.
And what the count doesn’t tell you.
Find out whether a client has opened the portal you sent, without reading more into the number than it measures.
By the end, you’ll know where a portal’s view count lives in Analytics, watched it go up after your client opened the portal, and know what it counts and what it doesn’t show.
Before you start
- A client portal you’ve shared. See “Give your client one portal for project files.”
- A role that can view workspace statistics. The Owner role has it; an Owner can grant it to other roles.

Check your client portal's view count.
To see how often a client portal has been opened, go to Analytics, and switch the section to Sharing.
Every portal you've shared has a row under Shared destinations. Here's the Harbor and Pine launch portal, for Maya Chen.
Recorded activity holds its view count, next to download requests. No views yet.
Now Maya opens her portal.
Maya enters the portal password, and clicks Access Portal.
The portal is limited to its approved contacts, so she confirms her email address too.
And the portal opens.
Back in your workspace.
Reload Analytics, and the portal shows one recorded view. New views can take several minutes to appear.
A view counts every time the portal page loads: visits that stop at the password screen, repeat visits, and your own team's visits included.
The count doesn't say who opened the portal, or when, and single share links aren't measured at all. The info icon has the full definition.
It's a lifetime total for the portal, not a number for a chosen period.
In short: Analytics, Sharing, Shared destinations. One running count of page loads per portal, with no names attached.

A running count of portal page loads.
Alex Morgan sent Maya Chen at Harbor & Pine a password-protected portal for the launch. To see whether it has been opened, Alex checks the portal’s view count in Analytics, before and after Maya opens it.
Know what the number means before you rely on it. It counts portal page loads, not people: it doesn’t say who opened the portal or when, and single share links aren’t measured. Sign in to YetOnePro to follow along.
- 01
Open Analytics and switch to Sharing
In the sidebar, open Analytics. Use the section switcher at the top, which starts on Workspace, and choose Sharing.
- 02
Find your portal under Shared destinations
Every portal you’ve shared has a row under Shared destinations. Here it’s the Harbor & Pine launch portal, shared with Maya Chen.
- 03
Read Recorded activity
The Recorded activity column holds the portal’s view count, next to its download requests, for example 0 recorded portal views / 0 download requests · identity unavailable. No views yet.
- 04
Your client opens the portal
Maya opens the portal link. She doesn’t need a YetOnePro account. On Protected Portal, she enters the portal password and clicks Access Portal. The portal is limited to its approved contacts, so she confirms her email address too, and the portal opens.
- 05
Reload Analytics
Back in your workspace, reload Analytics. The portal now shows 1 recorded portal view.
Not instant. New views can take several minutes to appear. If the count hasn’t changed yet, check again a little later. - 06
Know what counts as a view
A view counts every time the portal page loads. That includes visits that stop at the password screen, repeat visits and reloads, and your own team’s visits. Entering the password or email doesn’t add another view.
- 07
Know what the count doesn’t show
The count doesn’t say who opened the portal, or when, and it doesn’t count unique visitors. Single share links aren’t measured at all. The info icon next to Share-link activity is not available opens About recipient activity, with the full definition.
It’s a lifetime total for the portal, not a number for the period you’ve selected in Analytics.
In short: Analytics, Sharing, Shared destinations. One running count of page loads per portal, with no names attached.
Check the result
- Analytics is switched to Sharing.
- Your portal has a row under Shared destinations.
- Recorded activity shows its view count and download requests.
- You know a view is a page load, not a person.
If it didn’t work
My client opened the portal, but the count hasn’t changed.
New views can take several minutes to appear. Reload Analytics a little later.
Does the count tell me who opened the portal, or when?
No. It’s one running count per portal, with no names or times attached, and it doesn’t count unique visitors.
Why is the count higher than the number of times my client visited?
Every portal page load counts: visits that stop at the password screen, repeat visits and reloads, and your own team’s visits too.
Can I see views for a single share link?
No. Share links aren’t measured. Only portals have a view count.
Does the date range change the count?
No. Portal counters are lifetime totals, not a number for the selected period.
